The PAC 12 conference championship and a whole lot more is on the line Friday night at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara as the No. 4 Washington Huskies take on the No. 8 Colorado Buffaloes.
In his third year at the helm in Montlake, Washington head coach Chris Petersen has brought his Huskies to a Pac 12 North title, and just one win away from the full conference crown. A playoff berth is likely to follow if the Huskies come away with the victory on Friday, although they’d do well to win as impressively as possible — just to make sure the Big 10 champion or Michigan don’t jump them in the polls.
Colorado has had a remarkable season, taking the Pac 12 South at 10-2. Following a close mid-season loss at USC, the Buffaloes have reeled off five straight wins and have looked quite impressive in the process. It’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility that Colorado could themselves make the college football playoff with a win and a Clemson loss in the ACC championship game. So there is plenty at stake for both teams on Friday night.
Kickoff is at 9:00 p.m. ET. The game will air on FOX. Joe Davis and Brady Quinn have the call. The action can be streamed free with a cable subscription on pc, cell phone, or tablet via Fox Sports Go — which can be downloaded via the iTunes store, the Google Play store, and the Windows store.
