Could Megyn Kelly’s New NBC Show Replace Days of our Lives?

megyn2According to a report from PeopleMegyn Kelly‘s new NBC show may be a replacement for Days of our Lives. Earlier this week, it was reported that the Fox News anchor would be leaving the network for NBC, and it was reported that she would likely be taking over the Today show’s third hour.

According to People, that may not be the case. Sources told the magazine that the long-running soap opera’s cast is only contracted through 2017. The source also said, “Basically, we’ve heard that there won’t be a Days in 2018.”

The show has been a daytime staple on the network for a long time now and has aired almost every single weekday since 1965. Currently, it airs in the 1:00pm time slot.

Though Kelly’s new role at NBC is not yet clear, she will reportedly be filling three roles including the aforementioned daytime time slot, a show on Sunday nights, and special correspondent opportunities for NBC news.
