Pretty much immediately after one Michael Jackson project was pulled, another was announced. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lifetime has ordered a biopic about the superstar. The working title is Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland, and the movie will reportedly be about the final years of his life.
Suzanne de Passe, who worked with the Jackson 5 will be executive producing, and the movie will be based on the book Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days. The story will be told from the perspective of Jackson’s bodyguards. Navi, a Michael Jackson tribute artist will be playing the King of Pop, and Chad L. Coleman of Walking Dead fame playing Bill Whitefield.
Production will begin this month, and the film is set to air later this year.
