Trump Defends O’Reilly in New York Times Interview: ‘He is a Good Person’

Bill O'Reilly

In an interview published Tuesday with The New York Times, President Donald Trump came to the defense of Fox News’ freshly-scandalized Bill O’Reilly.

After making it known that he felt the media’s coverage of the recent Susan Rice developments was lacking, Trump then went on to praise Fox News for their coverage, singling out O’Reilly in particular.

In true Trump fashion, the president took a moment to speak of his personal relationship with O’Reilly, as well as share his thoughts on the ever-growing sexual harassment scandal plaguing the Fox New’s host.

“I think he’s a person I know well — he is a good person,” Trump would say of the The Factor host. POTUS would continue, saying “personally I think he shouldn’t have settled,” adding, “I don’t think Bill did anything wrong.”

Trump coming to O’Reilly’s aid is relatively unsurprising, given his own history of sexual harassment allegations.

At the time of this writing, 25 sponsors have withdrawn advertising from O’Reilly’s hour of programing on Fox News.
