Following his speech announcing the decertification of Iran nuclear deal Friday, President Donald Trump made some informal remarks on a variety of subjects to the White House press pool.
“We’ve done a great job… We’ve done a great job in Puerto Rico,” the President said.
MSNBC doesn’t agree. And they fired back in real time with this chyron:
The chyron was referring to the latest statistics from Puerto Rico. The power company AEE reports (via Vox) that 91 percent of the island is still offline — more than three weeks after Hurricane Maria made landfall in Puerto Rico.
Trump’s latest self-congratulatory remarks come as one Democratic Congressman is accusing the administration of underreporting the death toll — which currently stands at 45.
“I think they’re really holding back on this to try to keep the news out of the media,” Rep. Darren Soto (D-FL) said on HLN Thursday.
