Ana Navarro held nothing back today when she appeared on CNN and tore into President Donald Trump for racially charged remarks he reportedly made about several countries during an immigration meeting.
There has been a media frenzy ever since reports emerged that the president referred to Haiti, El Salvador and African nations as “sh*thole countries.” Trump denied these remarks Friday morning after more than 12 hours of silence on the topic. But the reported comments are still the subject of intense condemnation.
Appearing opposite former Trump communications director Jason Miller on New Day, Navarro she made it clear she was “pissed off” with “Donald J. Racist” — even if his bigotry against various people is no longer surprising. As for Miller, he started things off by refusing John Berman‘s questions, and spinning away to talk about how America will certainly benefit once Trump strikes a deal on DACA and immigration.
As Miller and Berman argued over the Trump’s recurring, racially-charged comments on various issues, Navarro eventually got back in the mix and tore into the president.
“This country is great and the reason people want to come here is because this country has been built decade after decade from the very start by people fleeing political persecution, by people fleeing ‘sh*tholes.’ They came from ‘sh*tholes’ in Africa, and they were shackled to the bowels of ships, and whipped and beaten and auctioned like property. A lot of them are buried in Arlington. Maybe when he was busy dodging the draft to Vietnam, instead of talking about shitholes and being a public, shameless racist, he should take a walk outside the White House and see the names imprinted on the wall and see how many people come from ‘shitholes.’”
Miller accused Navarro of having no argument except personal attacks against Trump, and that’s when she went full throttle.
“You look like a buffoon trying to make sense of what this man is saying!” Navarro said. “This is Donald Trump being a racist. I don’t care what you say.”
