On Thursday night, Jimmy Kimmel blasted President Trump over the “sh*thole” comment he reportedly made disparaging countries Haiti, El Salvado, and unspecified African nations while discussing immigration reform with lawmakers in the Oval Office.
Kimmel insisted the president had a “preposterous day.”
He explained to the audience about how the meeting was about DACA and that Trump rejected the idea of restoring temporary status for immigrants from such countries… and how he used colorful language.
“Listen, I’m sure the fact that countries he described as sh*tholes are mostly populated by people of color and the immigrants he wants from Norway are not is just a coincidence,” Kimmel reacted. “Because if it wasn’t, it would mean we voted for a racist, like a real one, and we’d have to get pitchforks and chase him out of the White House.”
Kimmel told his audience that he expected the White House to deny the Washington Post report about the sh*thole remarks, but to his surprise, they didn’t deny it at all.
“It really is unfathomable,” Kimmel continued. “You just can’t believe that this is the guy running our country.”
He added that the “only silver lining” was that we got to hear CNN’s Wolf Blitzer say “s-hole” all day.
“So anyway, thanks Vlad Putin. You really got us good,” Kimmel said.
