The women’s singles luge competition Tuesday at the Olympics was marred by a scary crash.
During the fourth run of the event, American luger Emily Sweeney bounced around the course and took several frightening hits against the rails.
NBC Sports reported that Sweeney was being taken to the hospital. However, she managed to walk off the course under her own power — to the cheers of those in attendance.
