S.E. Cupp Calls Out Ingraham Over Rob Porter Comments: ‘Great Job, Laura’

HLN’s S.E. Cupp called out Fox News’ Laura Ingraham today for comments she made last night about ousted White House aide Rob Porter.

Porter stepped down following accusations of domestic abuse from two ex-wives, and there have been serious questions about how much the White House and John Kelly in particular knew before last week.

Last night, however, while talking about #MeToo and Porter, Ingraham said, “His reportedly tumultuous relationships — to say the least — apparently didn’t, however, affect his work, which by all accounts was top-notch. Even one of his ex-wives and said she didn’t think he should be fired, despite what she claimed were his anger problems.”

Cupp today recapped everything we know so far about the Porter timeline since last week and said, “The fact that this has gone from a one-day story to an eight-day story is an embarrassment, and it’s a failure of leadership. My toddler would have been better at managing this crisis.”

And in addition to criticizing the White House, Cupp also made this observation:

“Of course, the President has his enablers in the press, which most disappointingly include women who should know better.”

She played clips from Ingraham’s show defending Trump’s response and said, “Great job, Laura. The President and the predator would be really proud.”
