Leading up to the special election in Pennsylvania’s 18th district tonight, RNC spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany expressed that Democratic candidate Conor Lamb has aligned himself with her party.
“Conor Lamb has essentially run as a Republican,” McEnany said. “He’s pro-gun. He says he’s personally pro-life. He’s pro-tarriff.”
She also highlighted Lamb’s attempt to distance himself from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), referring to him as “anti-Nancy Pelosi.”
“Imagine that, a Democratic candidate who’s against Nancy Pelosi, the minority leader,” McEnany continued. “He has made himself into essentially a Republican. So you have a Republican in name and a Republican in truth running against one another.”
Of course, the “Republican in name” candidate she referred to was the Republican candidate Rick Saccone.
