One big takeaway from Mark Zuckerberg‘s testimony to Senate and House committees over the past two days was shock at the level of tech illiteracy in the halls of Congress.
Greg Gutfeld said today, “The lesson that Zuckerberg got and most of America that watched was that we need term limits. We need term limits BADLY.”
“Ninety-nie percent of those inquisitors didn’t know squat about what they were talking about,” he continued. “It was the best argument for small government I’ve ever seen.”
He praised Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) for being one of the few lawmakers who knew what he was talking about regarding Facebook ads. Juan Williams at one point questioned his reading but Gutfeld reminded him that in context, it was pretty clear Hatch’s question about how Facebook makes money was sarcasm.
Gutfeld also said one serious problem that wasn’t really addressed that much in the hearings was “the creation of fake videos that appear real.”
