CNN’s David Gregory isn’t known for his hot takes. But on Friday, he delivered an absolute scorcher.
Appearing on a Wolf panel moments after President Donald Trump‘s pardon of Scooter Libby was announced, Gregory — the former Meet The Press moderator — offered a stunning view of the pardon’s larger implications.
“This is…Trump with a view that none of this matters, and that the rule of law doesn’t matter,” Gregory said.
Gregory added, “His contempt for [special counsel Robert Mueller‘s] investigation is evident, I think, by reaching back to somebody who he doesn’t know but he heard was mistreated, so therefore as president he should just pardon him.”
