Kate McKinnon’s Laura Ingraham Touts Her Very Real New Sponsors on SNL’s Weekend Update

Kate McKinnon portrayed Laura Ingraham on Saturday Night Live tonight, and she depicted the Fox News host shrugging off the sponsors she lost after the recent ad boycott against her.

McKinnon’s Ingraham joined Colin Jost on Weekend Update to talk about the “planned” vacation she took after mocking gun control advocate/school shooting survivor David Hogg. As Jost reminded her, that personal swipe caused more than 20 advertisers to pull their commercials from Ingraham’s program.

“All because I trolled a traumatized teen,” Ingraham exclaimed. “The totalitarian left can attack me all they want, but I will continue to defend the First Amendment. That’s my right to bully people without being bullied in return.”

Ingraham proceeded to list off her new sponsors, though Jost was skeptical about some of the names she brought up.

“Don’t boycott my show. Our country’s so divided right now, and I’m an important part of that,” Ingraham said undeterred. “Let’s move on. You know I’m going to say something worse. Why don’t you just watch the show and find out what that’s going to be?”
