You’d be forgiven if the revelation that Fox News host Sean Hannity was Trump attorney Michael Cohen’s mystery third client made you briefly forget that porn star Stormy Daniels attended today’s federal court hearing on the records seized during last week’s FBI raid.
Daniels and her attorney, Michael Avenatti, made sure you remembered they were there this afternoon. And Avenatti weighed in on today’s bombshell.
Speaking to reporters after the hearing — the judge denied Cohen’s motion for a temporary restraining order — Avenatti responded to a question about Cohen’s attorneys revealing Hannity was a client of Trump’s “fixer” by saying it “speaks volumes.”
“And I think Sean Hannity got thrown under the bus by Michael Cohen’s counsel today, who was clearly more concerned about protecting the president than protecting Sean Hannity,” the lawyer declared. “But we will let them sort that out.”
While on the surface Avenatti’s sympathetic approach to Hannity may seem odd, last week the attorney was seen cozying up to the Fox host at a New York party, saying he “actually liked” Hannity. Avenatti further tossed out the possibility of appearing on the pro-Trump conservative commentator’s program.
