Morning Joe Skewers Hannity With a Classic Clip From The Simpsons

One could only imagine, when the news broke on Monday afternoon, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski practically counting the hours until they had their chance to troll Sean Hannity. And indeed, on Tuesday morning, the pair wasted no time going after the Fox News host.

In the Morning Joe open on Tuesday, made light of Hannity’s troubles following the bombshell revelation that he was the mysterious third client of Donald Trump‘s lawyer, Michael Cohen, by playing a famous clip from The Simpsons.

The scene they picked to skewer Hannity was a hot mic moment involving Springfield’s favorite anchor Kent Brockman.

“Gabbo’s kind of language has no place on or off T.V. And that’s my two cents,” Brockman announces. And then, under his breath: “Heh. That oughta hold those SOBs.”

Immediately after, the graphic was displayed: “Brockman in Trouble.” The anchor was horrified.

“Yeah…” Brzezinski said, slyly, over the clip — as several in the Morning Joe crew could be heard laughing.
