The Trump campaign has turned the first anniversary of the Russian probe into a chance to fundraise to his base.
In an emailed letter credited to President Donald Trump on Thursday, Trump once again insisted there was “no collusion.”
“Congratulations America, we are now into the second year of the greatest Witch Hunt in American History…,” Trump wrote, before adding in bold, “And there is still No Collusion and No Obstruction.”
He then predictably blamed Democrats.
“The only Collusion was that done by Democrats who were unable to win an election despite them spending far more money,” the letter continues on before, calling for his supporter to “show the witch hunters that *NOT A SINGLE PATRIOT* backed down from our fight.”
The email comes on the same day as Trump took to Twitter to rail against the “disgusting, illegal and unwarranted Witch Hunt,” and declared his administration has had “the most successful first 17 month Administration in U.S. history” despite what the haters say.
Despite the disgusting, illegal and unwarranted Witch Hunt, we have had the most successful first 17 month Administration in U.S. history – by far! Sorry to the Fake News Media and “Haters,” but that’s the way it is!

It also comes just one day after Trump’s own FBI Director Christopher Wray, when asked if he agreed with Trump’s characterization of Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe as a witch hunt, stuck by his previous claims and made it very clear he did not.
