Corey Stewart‘s Virginia primary win drew support from both “pro-white” activist Jason Kessler and President Donald Trump./strong>.
On Wednesday, Trump tweeted out this — praising the winner of the GOP primary and taking a jab at former Hillary Clinton running mate Tim Kaine.
Congratulations to Corey Stewart for his great victory for Senator from Virginia. Now he runs against a total stiff, Tim Kaine, who is weak on crime and borders, and wants to raise your taxes through the roof. Don’t underestimate Corey, a major chance of winning!

Kessler, who organized the deadly Charlottesville rally, re-tweeted Trump’s post.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily on Wednesday, Stewart also crowed about his victory over GOPers, claiming the Republican Party will “go the way of the dodo” and that thanks to the “Trump base” far-right backed candidates like him will ultimately prevail.
“If the Republican establishment wants to continue to oppose the President, myself, and others who support him, on those things are going to go the way of the dodo or they’re going to disappear,” the Virginia candidate opined. “The rising part of the Republican party is the Trump establish- sorry- the Trump support, the Trump base. That’s what’s taking over, and that’s the new Republican party. The old guard, the establishment, can either get on board or they’re going to have to get out.”
The GOP is largely shunning Stewart despite his win and according to Politico has no plans on funneling in money to help him win the general race.
