Trump Goes After Congress in Wild Anti-Immigration Tweetstorm: ‘Tell the People, OUT’

And lo, President Donald Trump hath tweeted unto us another slew of thoughts on immigration.

The president went with a biblical tone for this latest direct correspondence to the American people, including an ironic riff on Exodus in the phrase: “Tell the People ‘OUT’”:

“Law Enforcement at the Border is doing a great job, but the laws they are forced to work with are insane,” Trump tweeted.

“Tell the people ‘OUT,’ and they must leave, just as they would if they were standing on your front lawn,” he continued in another tweet.

“Congress – FIX OUR INSANE IMMIGRATION LAWS NOW!” he yelled in a third. (You know it’s yelling because it’s in caps-lock.)

Sure, this tweet appears to be standard fare for the Blusterer-in-Chief, but there is one key differences in this communique from his recent others: It puts the blame on Congress’ shoulders rather than Democrats’.

For many weeks, Trump blamed the Democrats for the immigration laws we currently have in place – particularly for separating children and families – which was a specious claim. Somewhere along the line, Trump decided it would be more effective to blame Congressional body rather than the Democratic body. (Never mind that one is true and one is false.)

Will we see more tweets with a similar tone and a similar subject of blame? Watch this space.
