Trump Tweets Ahead of Charlottesville Anniversary: I Condemn ‘All Types of Racism and Acts of Violence’

President Donald Trump took to Twitter this morning to issue a statement of condemnation against racism and violence.

After last year’s rally turned violent and Heather Heyer was killed, the President rather infamously said there was blame on both sides but also “very fine people on both sides.” Even many Republicans were appalled by Trump drawing some kind of moral equivalence.

And with yet another “Unite the Right” rally set for this weekend, people have been calling on Trump to make condemnatory statements.

Trump also tweeted this morning about the FBI and the African-American and Hispanic unemployment rates:
