Election recount adding to Trump’s winning margin

Though her effort has virtually no chance of changing the outcome of the presidential election, Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein continued Monday her recount in three battleground states won by Donald Trump, suing Pennsylvania election officials in federal court hours after a federal judge in Michigan granted her request to begin a statewide recount […] …

In Dialogue With Peter Diamandis

Earlier this summer I was proud to be a part of the first-ever Novus Summit hosted at the United Nations in partnership with UN DESA during the United Nations High-Level Political Forum in New York. Founded by Co-Chairs Kunal Sood and Sony Mordechai, along with a strong Novus team, to name a few key team players, Laura Muranaka, Shahar Nechmad, Eiso Vaandrager, Nicholas Pnevmatikakis, and Nisha Khare, Novus was organized with careful attention to both the speakers and the highly-curated audience. Delegates are comprised of individuals who are the leaders of today and the legacy makers of tomorrow. Novus Summit is focused on promoting science, innovation, and technology to transform the world in order to achieve the 17 UN Global Goals. The UN General Assembly Hall created the conditions for accelerated transformation through the power of collaboration and creative problem solving around tackling the world’s most important issues and was the preeminent Summit I have ever experienced personally as a digital journalist. One of my favorite speakers from the forum was Peter Diamandis. Peter not only commanded the audience with his talk but also left everyone excited and curious about the future of technology, science, and medicine. …

Americans Dislike How The Media Treats Trump — And How He Treats The Media

President-elect Donald Trump, who devoted much of his campaign to railing against the media, has shown no signs that he’s planning to stop. In a tweet Monday, he accused reporters of failing to cover him “accurately” or “honorably.” If the press would cover me accurately & honorably, I would have far less reason to "tweet." Sadly, I don't know if that will ever happen!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 5, 2016 More than four in 10 Americans, according to a new HuffPost/YouGov survey, agree with Trump that he’s faced unduly negative coverage. A similar percentage, though, say Trump’s behavior toward the media has been unacceptable as well.
A 41 percent plurality of Americans think media coverage of Trump has been generally too negative, with 17 percent saying it’s been too positive and 23 percent that it’s been about right. But many are also uncomfortable with the way Trump has interacted with the press. Forty-three percent say the way Trump treats journalists is unacceptable, while just 33 percent think he treats them in an acceptable way. A majority of Trump voters say that if a national media outlet reported that Trump said something untrue, they would be more inclined to believe…
